I just wanted to comment on the all the sex abuse involving children that is going on in our nation. It is often kept a secret and the perpetrators are rarely prosecuted. Jerry Sandusky, Bernie Fine (why are they all named Jerry or Bernie?), church pastors (eh hem Bishop Eddie Long) and all walks of life we are finding this problem in. Why? Because we have to teach and talk to our kids to BE OPEN about what goes on in private. Too often, kids are embarrassed to talk about sex or their "private parts" and this leads to this type of behavior. When it happens the kids should KNOW to tell SOMEBODY that their space has been violated regardless. I would encourage all parents who are raising their children to not overlook how prevelant weirdos are in our society and battle them with communication. Teach your kids to say NO (just like strangers) or tell somebody when someone has played with them in an inappropriate manner. I know it's a sign of the times, but it's necessary to make sure that your kid does not end up a statistic. #Imjussayin
